NAF! x Lifelink: Nails For Mental Health Awareness Week

Mental Health Awareness Week in the UK takes place from Monday 13th May until Sunday 19th May.

NAF! has always highlighted the importance of looking after your own mental health and being mindful of others to both our team and clients. We're big advocates of the belief that kindness and sincerity push the world forward to become a more welcoming and enjoyable place, and believe that every small action has a consequence.

Of course it's not always this easy, although it is important to us to ensure that NAF! Salon is a safe space for anyone to come to and feel comfortable to chat to us about anything, whether big or small.

For this reason, we have decided to hold an intimate after-hours evening on Tuesday 14th of May to give clients the option of coming in at a quieter time to take time for themselves, while raising money for Lifelink charity at the same time.

Six of our nail techs are donating their time, with nail expert Abby and our Assistant Manager Emma (who inspired the evening) hosting the evening. NAF! boss Tammy and NAF! Stuff sales manager Lisa will also be there to help out, from pouring coffees to taking snaps of your fresh new nails. This means that 100% of the funds raised on the evening will go to Lifelink.

Abby and Emma chose Lifelink as the charity for the excellent mental health services they provide throughout Scotland, including therapy and counselling.

Lifelink is a social enterprise and registered charity dedicated to helping people overcome mild to moderate mental health problems. For over 25 years we have supported adults and young people to make positive changes in their lives, realise their own abilities to cope with stress and develop ways of overcoming mental illnesses such as anxiety and depression. We believe everyone is unique and our aim is for every person we work with to become happier and healthier, wherever they live, work or learn.

Glasgow-based mindfulness coach - and friend of NAF! - Kerri-Ann Angus has also volunteered to come along to the evening to share her advice in how to practice self-care in your every day, and chat to anyone who wishes to.

Six appointments will be available on the evening, which will run 7.15pm - 8.30 pm. All will be One Colour gel priced at £30  and must be paid in cash, please, as the money will be sent directly to Lifelink.

We want to reinforce that our salon will be a safe space for anyone coming to this evening (as we always hope it is for you) and want to have a feel-good, self-care evening full of love for a great cause!

With love,

NAF!
