Scent Profile: Golden Maple

Picture this. It’s a cold, crisp Sunday morning. You’re taking it slow. There’s a sense of change in the air. It’s exciting. There is only one thing that will convince you to leave your cosy duvet cocoon… A steaming hot stack of perfectly soft, fluffy pancakes smothered in delicious Golden Maple syrup.

Dreamy and nostalgic, our Limited Edition NAF! PRO Golden Maple nail & cuticle oil will ease your clients and their nails into the stunning autumnal days that await us. With a rich blend of soft, maple, buttery caramel and treacle entwined with hints of toasted vanilla and demerara sugar, it’s hard not to fall for this mouth-watering scent. It’s love at first drop really.

To celebrate the launch of our new autumn scents, we’re sharing some of our favourite, comforting recipes that have been the inspiration behind these delectable oils. The following is a much loved (not so secret) family recipe brought to you by our Lead Content Creator, Lauren. Perfect for a weekend brunch date at home, these Fluffy Maple Pancakes are a must try! Each mouthful melts in your mouth and will have you reaching for seconds. Bon appetit.

{ Pancake Stack }

  • 1 egg yolk, 18g
  • 1 tbsp sugar, 12g
  • 2 tbsp milk, 30g
  • 3 tbsp flour, 30g
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder, 1g

  • 2 large egg whites 60g
  • 1.5 tbsp sugar 18g

  • Mix the egg yolk and sugar until frothy, then mix in the milk. Sift in the flour and baking powder, making a smooth batter. Set aside.
  • Make the meringue by beating together sugar and egg whites. When the egg whites hold their shape and are stiff and glossy, they’re ready.
  • Fold the egg yolk batter into the whites, being careful not to deflate.
  • Heat up a pan on very, very low heat. Lightly oil the pan then scoop out a large dollop of batter, cover and cook for 4-5 minutes. When the bottoms are golden, very carefully flip. Remove from the pan and enjoy immediately with maple & syrup, and powdered sugar (The pancakes will deflate as they cool down).
